Do You Really Need A Hair Transplant To Look Attractive?

Hair loss is a serious issue for people who are suffering from male pattern baldness, general thinning or loss of hair for medical reasons. There are many treatments available and the science behind hair transplant surgery is constantly improving; but should those who are thinning take hair loss in their stride or do anything they can to keep a full head of hair? We take a look at some of the sexiest celebrities that sport the less is more look to answer the question.

There are numerous balding men that have graced the pages of celebrity magazines over the years, and a fair few that have shaved the whole lot off. There are also a few women that have made the move to get out the clippers and against all instinct shave off their flowing locks in favour of a skin head.

I myself have made the decision in the past to set the clippers to grade one and see just what happens. It was in fact a hugely liberating act to perform and the response from members of the opposite sex was surprising. Most men found it attractive and a sign of strength, power and control. I have to admit that I did not pull off the look as well as the famous ladies that graced the national tabloids did, but it was still a deceptively feminine act.

I joined the ranks of singer and songwriter Sinead O'Connor, actresses Demi Moor, and Sigourney Weaver, but for me and them, and later dear old Britney Spears, the choice had been ours. People who are suffering from hair loss have no choice, and so for them, the idea of a hair transplant is preferable to finding a way to emulate the seductive appeal of a shaven head.

A friend of mine recently lost her hair after a bout of chemotherapy and although she had a wig on standby, she chose to leave her head naked. This was a brave decision on her behalf, and I wondered why she didn't want to do something to hide her hair loss. Even though she was going through a very difficult moment in her life, she knew that her hair would grow back after treatment, and therefore explained to me that she did not feel like a victim of hair loss.

Hair transplant surgery for many people is a way of having a choice, and those who are suffering from hair loss say that they suffer a loss of confidence too. The opportunity to regain a head of hair will help them regain their confidence, therefore improving their life generally. Trying to explain to anyone who is opting for hair transplant surgery that shaven headed celebrities are some of the sexiest people on the planet is not going to met with much enthusiasm.

Although Jason Streatham is working the look, and Jude Law is thinning proudly, these people have the adoration of thousands of fans and have their ego's constantly boosted to super star status. Jude and Jason are also incredibly good looking, much the same goes for Sinead, Sigourney and Demi. However, the rest of us are a bit like Britney, and in all honesty, we look a damn sight better with hair on our heads.

My conclusion is that it is a matter of confidence and choice mixed together, and some people just have a better face shape for the look. If Jude and Jason weren't quite so confident and comfortable, I am pretty sure they would be considering hair transplant surgery too.
